The Marshalltown Wine and Book Club is a dedicated invite-only, for us membership club for cultural leaders across industries with a shared vision to increase literacy, re-prioritize reading in addition to enjoying and exploring the beauty, taste and sophistication of wine.
Marshalltown’s mission is to create a space for people of color to connect with other valuable professionals through social engagement facilitated by the substantial benefits of reading and wine.
Marshalltown members are people who use their platform to impact through advocating for education, pushing the boundaries in their prospective professions, and by seeking experiences to help push themselves to grow.
Our members include, but are not limited to, professors, politicians, lawyers, professional athletes, tech leaders, venture capitalists, musicians, executives, creatives, founders, and those who are not only excelling in their careers but are pushing themselves to get more out of life.

How to Join
Marshalltown is an invite, only membership club that accepts new members on an annual basis. The inaugural 2023 class will include 40 new members to be selected by May 30th 2023. Each member must commit to one full year.
All inaugural applications are due by April 30th, 2023.

How are new members approved?
Applications to join Marshalltown are reviewed on an annual basis by the Marshalltown Board of Directors. If approved, you will receive a welcome email with instructions on how to officially join as a member.
How much is the membership?
The membership fee is $40 a month which includes your bi-monthly (every other month) bottle of wine/book and access to in-person membership only events.
Where will the membership events be hosted?
The membership events will be hosted at event spaces, restaurants, private clubs, and other unique spaces in the NYC metropolitan area, with the first event slated to be held in May.
